An evaluation of the current site was carried out to highlight issues to be taken care of when designing/developing the new site. A Creative Brief Document (CBD) was written by EBOX®, in which the site objectives and strategy, design specifications (theme, color, resolutions, logo, fonts and other specifications) and home and sub-page requirements were defined and shared with the client. A new version of the CBD was written by the client. This explored issues with the current website and goals for the new website and briefly explained the technical specifications, architecture and standard elements of the new site. It also provided links to competitors’ sites for reference. The website was to be updated on a monthly basis by authorized persons allocated by both Al Safi and EBOX®.
A site map and a detailed Requirement Specification Document were written for approval from client. This contained a description of each page, the type of page (whether it was a static page, a dynamic page to be editable from the control panel or a form to be sent by email) and names of tables and forms required.
