For the very first time in the history of EBOX®, we got the chance to participate in a lowest-value bidding arranged by MNG in search of a suitable supplier with high technical standards and the required certification. A registration for the bid was made through the Munafasat website and a project announcement email received. Using the log in credentials of EBOX, a request for proposal was bought and downloaded from www.saudigp.sa. This contained all the required documents and explanation of how to send both technical and financial proposals. Four hard copies of each proposal were issued: one original and three black and white, along with soft copies of the proposals. The proposals were signed and stamped and handed over as hard copies.
All MNG branches around the Kingdom were provided with servers, workstations, color printers and all-in-one printers.
Following EBOX® successful project in September 2008, EBOX® won a second deal for a project with MNG for maintenance and replacement of active devices for a number of computer networks and Information Center in the Central region and the Western sector in which scoping, high level design, plan and mobilization were carried out and documentation was provided. Network servers, Dell workstations & laptops and communications cabinets were provided, along with a service of two certified CCIE Resident Engineers. Following EBOX® successful project in 2009, MNG was back for Expansion-2.1 Hardware & Networking.Active equipment from CISCO and network servers as well as Dell workstations and laptops were provided to various branches of MNG: SANG HQ &Information Technology Center Riyadh, KAA Area, King Khalid Military Academy, Western HQ Region Campus, Um Alsalam, Bahra and Nuzlah Areas in Jeddah; Al-Shara’ea Area in Makkah, Hawyyah Area in Taif, and MNG campuses in Madinah and Yanbu.The products were delivered within two months of the quotation.
The year 2011 was a very fortunate year for EBOX in which we won two deals: Expansion-2.2 Hardware & Networking and a project of updating computers and accessories for the Information Center.
In 2011, MNG repeats their experience with EBOX® in the Expansion-2.2. On the account of this contract renewal, MNG was to be provided several network components: ONSITE 24X7X2 Cisco 7606 Chassis, SP ONSITE 24X7X2 Cisco 7206VXR IPv6/A, ONSITE 24X7X2 Catalyst 2960, 24 10/100 + 2T/SFP LAN, ONSITE 24X7X2 Catalyst 2960, 48 10/100 + 2 T/SFP LAN, ONSITE 24X7X2 Catalyst 3750, 12 SFP DC pwrd Stndrd, SP ONSITE 24X7X4 2 Port, Channelized T3/E3 ATM and Circuit.The products were delivered within two months of the quotation.
EBOX® won a project of updating computers and accessories for the Information Center. A workstation, server, 2 MS Licenses, 1 Dell Server Cabinet, 1 laptop, 2 printers, and 3 scanners were provided. Training was also provided in Al Khaleej Training and Education. The products were delivered within three months of the quotation.
Delivering a series of successful projects with MNG created a bond between MNG and EBOX® and the satisfaction of the client has opened the opportunity for more projects and successful stories in the future. We look forward to more projects with them in the coming years.
